Yeah, it
was my very first big, lonely backpacking trip. To be honest it was also pretty
spontaneous. I finished my 6 months student internship by British Telecom in Frankfurt
and decided to use this opportunity to travel before signing a new contract.
Finding a
destination was pretty easy. This time South East Asia for sure. After Colombia
I wanted to see the other part of the globe and moreover, there was a great
argument behind: low prices J
During this
almost 3 months trip I have visited mainly: Chang Mai, Bangkok, Ko Pha Ngan in
Thailand, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap with amazing Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur
and Tioman Island in Malaysia, Java, Bali, Lombok and Gili Islands in Indonesia
and Singapore.
It is now
impossible to describe the whole trip, but one is undoubted: it only ensured
me, that traveling is my biggest passion! What I will never forget is:: eating
cockroaches on the romantic date with a tuck tuck driver in Cambodia, doing my
first dives in Tioman and Gili Islands, spending my birthday in Singapore,
riding a scooter on the left side of the road, having extreme fun on the Full
Moon Party on Ko Pha Ngan, climbing Ijen Crater on Java, barely losing sight/vision
on Bali and returning home with awful infection on my leg.
I survived
in pretty good shape and knew, that it is only the beginning of a great journey
of my life.
